Driving Group

The driving group is also run by volunteers and currently has three qualified able bodied whips to assist the attending drivers.

The group has one pony, Rupert. The trap they use is a Bennington Super Star Trap which has a hydraulic ramp to allow wheelchairs to be accommodated on the trap. The minimum age for prospective drivers is 12 years.

The group is in need of volunteers and no equine knowledge is required as full training in the following areas will be given: harnessing the pony, putting the pony to the trap, operating the hydraulic ramp and securing the wheelchair in the trap.

If you are interested in driving with the group and or would like to volunteer to help with the sessions please contact:
